Consistent with the FLXMAT “give something back” ethic, we have successfully repeated our not-for-profit supply of FLXMAT to a small, yet significant, environmentally sensitive project on Ebeye in the Marshall Islands.
Wait for it, 43,000 mattresses! That’s forty three thousand! We don’t get a call for that size of problem every day. This is a ground breaking project in Bangladesh.
In 2018, HSL were awarded the work for the expansion of the existing Bedok Canal for PUB.
The scope of works included the supply of 8000m2 of seabed scour protection at the canal outfall to the sea.
An exciting innovation in the development of FLXMAT was instigated in response to the environmental requirements of some of our Clients. We were asked to find a way to take the plastic out of FLXMAT.
In 2018 in response to a reasonably common cable protection problem, FLXMAT R&D developed the first mattress design where the webbing slings that form the FLXMAT ANKOR are now connected to a GRP or precast concrete cover that can be positioned over subsea cables.
